Almost two weeks after the Presidential election and reactions are still strong across the nation.
While protests against president-elect Donald Trump have begun to subside – local women are still concerned about what’s to come.
Susan Kroger is one of the founders of Ladies Engaged and Determined.
“A few friends and I were hanging out together last Thursday night. We were worried about what was next, specifically for woman,” said Kroger.
Triggered by an emotional presidential cycle- they decided to start a Facebook page inviting women to an informal gathering.
“We decided to get together one night and we expected maybe 7 or 8 people and 100 woman showed up, which was amazing,” stated Kroger.
“We’re creating a safe space for woman to gather and to take a stand for inclusion,” said co-founder of L.E.A.D.
Saturday was the group’s second meeting. More than 70 people joined the morning discussion.
